H&H Rods

A customer brought in an H&H rod and asked if I could repair/replace a guide that had lost the ring insert. I have searched for H&H Rods (Richmond, TX) and am guessing that they are no longer in business. I have not yet gotten into wrapping and was wondering if I could just replace the lost ring insert. The guides on either side of the one in question are 7.0 and 5.5. My Fuji catalogue does not list ring inserts, only guide frame/ring assemblies. Could a #6 ring be purchased and if so what would be the best way to secure it to the guide frame?
Thanks, Bill Klarer 502.415.3549

It would be easier to just replace the whole guide

Bill,
Are you measuring the inside or outside diameter of the rings for your measurement? Reason I asked is your 5.5 measurement, we usually don't see that size guide, we also use the OD of the ring, or the ID of the guide frame as our measurement.

Thanks for responding Spencer. This will prove to be a great learning experience for me. The inside diameter of the guide frame measures 8,35mm, with the frame wire at 0,70mm and the frame outside diameter measures 9,75mm. So I guess thee guide is a #8?
