Looking for a Mail To Sharpening Service

Sorry this isn't 100% rodbuilding related, but I can't think of a better group of folks to ask. I need a sharpening service for jointer/planer blades, as the only man I ever trusted with my vintage jointer/planer blades has passed, and I'm down to 1 dull set and one that needs a little fine tuning. Thanks for any replies, and no, I don't want to sharpen my own; I feel good about sharpening chisels and turning tools but leave the long stuff to the pros.

Thanks again,

Walt

Thanks JP I might talk to Woodcraft (my only local woodworking shop), but I've heard some negative comments about them. Any idea if Klingspors is going to be at the show trhis year? don't remember seeing them on the list, and I'm in need of a new lathe also????

Walt,

I used to own a countertop shop, and had a local guy sharpen all my saw blades and router bits. He is a one person show, runs the business, sharpens the blades and bits. He has all the necessary machinery in his store. He also sells blades, bits, etc.

You might give him a call, and talk to him about mailing the blades to him. Can't speak for him on that aspect. Ron Butler - Butler Saw Sharpening, Lawrenceville, GA. Phone (770) 963-2522

Regards
Bert Nagy
