Hank,

Flame colors are really a builders choice, its how you fade from one color to the next. I use black to candy apple red to burnt orange to orange to yellow then sometimes to white. the best look IMO ie blending each color. If you have questions send me an email with your number and I will be happy to give you a call and go over.

Tight lines,

John Hernandez

Here is one I am working on for a rod for a fireman. It is still progressing but I feel I am getting close. Thanks to the nice folks on this forum it was suggested I do a fade....I used....white...Gudebrod...lemon yellow....goldenrod.....Pac Bay light orange....then gudebrod sunburst......not sure if I want to finish it off with rust or red.....and I am sure I want to scale it down a little.

I hope this helps.
