Not for nothing but is that why 1/4 drag racers use soft rubber tires on a hard surface and then do - burn outs - to put more rubber on the surface of the strip - for grip -

I had to remove several knurled N-type 1/2" coax connectors at work yesterday. Trust me - textured doesn't mean not slippery!
