Just wondering if there is a way to incorporate a weave into a tiger wrap? The effect I am trying to get is to have a weave that is somewhat masked by the tiger wrap but can be seen when held at different angles. I was thinking maybe a holographic thread weave then wrapped with white nylon thread and don't use cp on it so the thread goes opaque
Thoughts/ideas/suggestions? Thanks Jim Re: Tiger wrap weave???

do your weave and finish as usual...choose your tiger color...open wrap on bottom layer of tiger and finish with white nylon thread as top layer...that should give you something if not what your looking for...try it and let us know how it goes LEGENDARY CREATIONS CUSTOM RODS Maplewood, MN Re: Tiger wrap weave???

I have done something like that with Stickers under two open layers of tiger wrapping. Should be some in the photo section. If you have any questions drop me a line Re: Tiger wrap weave???

forgot to mention that I got the idea from you doc. I've been playing around with open layers as well. looks great on colored blanks! LEGENDARY CREATIONS CUSTOM RODS Maplewood, MN Re: Tiger wrap weave???

Jim, I tried incorporting a weave into the bottom layer of the tiger. I was going for a "fish in water" kind of look. I looks ok, but my finish was lumpy in the first layer and I'd probably change my color selections. There is room for improvement but I've never gotten back to it.

Thanks everyone. Dan from the pic it makes your weave look like it blended in too much. I'll have to experiment with this some on a dowel.
