I am working with an old bamboo rod that is very short and stout and would like to have the blank insert into the handle using a ferrule type system. The only problem is that it requires a size 34/64(13.5mm) or 36/64(14mm) . I have not been able to locate a ferrule of this size.
I would greatly appreciate any information as to where I can find one of this size. Thank You Jeff Leonard Muskyfsh Muskyfsh Re: Need Help

I know that American Tackle still offers metal ferrules. So does Angler's Roost (nickel silver, however). There may be others as well.

Jeff, Just to clear things up, are you thinking of a ferruled type reel seat that the tip section has a screwed locking ring and self aligns with the reel seat. Before I start looking I need to know exactly what you want. I might be able to help you. Dennis J. Danku (Sayreville,NJ) Re: Need Help

Dennis, I suppose that would be the ideal solution but I didn't want to spend that much on a reel seat. I would prefer to make a fore and rear grip out of wood and install a simple reel seat. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help.
