I finished the butt section of a new rod with Flex Coat epoxy. I had a streamside fall and there are now several fairly deep scratches on the part of the butt section where I my finish wraps/logo/signature are. Should I try to remove all the epoxy and wraps and start over (if so, any ideas how are welcome...can I really get the blank stripped down to square one?) - OR - should I try to epoxy over the scratches? This is a new Sage blank, so I want this to look new again! Re: Scratched finish on blank

LIGHTLY scuff the old finish with scotchbrite to get a water break free surface and apply a light coat of fibish. It will be as good as new. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
