I have a St. Croix blank in Black Pearl finish and would like suggestions for how a Pro would design the components to
create a clean high-end look in gold, silver or Ti/Pewter trim. Its only my 4th rod so my skills are improving but still limited. A $100 set of (concept) guides would be a little steep but will consider it. The aluminum reel seats look nice but I have not installed one yet. The handle kits from St Croix and Fugi have been a breeze to build and use so will probably use a kit unless a better suggestion comes along. Decorative wraps are coming along, with practice, but will have to stick to open diamond or chevron for this one. This is for my personal use inshore, salt water w/med action, so I prefer not to do underwraps on guides. I am thinking that a Teal Blue with either trim/guide color would look nice. It will be interesting to see what a professional builder would choose. Thanks. Re: Suggestions for "Fun Build" W/Class

Based on your statements ... St Croix handle kit (which comes with a Fuji reel seat) paired with Fuji Alconite Guides with Chrome Plated Frames. Teal wraps with Chrome metallic trim bands. This will capitalize on pairings of black and chrome to compliment your teal primary wraps. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
