top coat over fusions

if you painted a rod blank with kyrlon fusions paint would you have to go over it with a clear coat?? Or does kyrlon make a clear coat fusions? I wouldnt beat the rod around but wonder if the paint by itself would be tough enough to hold up pretty well for a while.

How well has the Fusion paint worked for you in this application? I tried it once and ended up having to take it off and sand it down and just coat the blank with epoxy.

I have put permagloss over DupliColor with no problems but have not tried it on Krylon paints

Try on a scrap piece first and see.
