I'm trying to build a spinning rod 7ft med-light, using like 8 to 10pd test, and would like to go micros, now on the Spinning Rod guide sizing and placement, from Rodmaker mag. V10 #4, that you plot a straight line between the center of the line spool and the outermost edge of the choker guide , then place the guides that are below the choker so that they will touch the edge of the line that you plotted, from the center of the spool to the edge of the choke guide, my ? is, will that work with micros also?

It will work, but you might want to look at the New Guide Concept for spinning rods in the library here.

A guide is a guide is a guide. As long as they meet the criteria involved you're fine.

The butt and transition guides are placed on the plotted line path. The choker and running guides are all the same size and should be the smallest and lightest that will pass your line and any required connections.

If you're looking for light weight, check out the M style Minima guides and micros. They are very light and will work great on a ML spinning rod. I have a 3S76MLXF that doesn't have them on...but it will soon!
