Wrapping guides with Holographic Thread....?

I have some holographic guides I want to use on a build and am wondering a couple of things.
#1: How does metalic thread hold up as guide wraps?
#2: Does anyone on the left carry size "A" holographic thread?
I'd like to use the holographic thread if I can find it in size "A", but only found it in size "D", which is too big for this light action inshore rod. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I often use metallic thread on guides with no problem (actually it's stronger than nylon)

I too use the metallics and have never had an issue with it. I build smaller rods, all inshore.

Hi Jeff,
As far as I know holographic thread is flat. The Glisten Gloss that I've got is about 5 times wider than "A" thread and less than 1/2 as thick. I wouldn't recommend it for guide wraps due to the number of wraps you'd get on a guide foot and you can't put a lot of tension on it as it destroys the holographic effect. I just use it for trim or highlights. Some of the multi coloured metallics may give you the effect you want and as Mike said it's definitely strong enough.
