hi there, i am new to the world of rod building and am wondering where i can purchase in small amounts braided tape to finish whippings on rods? regards john

Yes and have got a good supply of that now but noticed in some books that I looked at there is a wider tape that can be used when decorating the rod! Possibly made by gudebrod but maybe by other manufacturers' any clues?

Gudebrod HT metallic braid (if you can find it); YLI "candlelight" and Superior Threads "Razzle Dazzle" (polyester with metallic braid) from fabric stores are two others
