I just posted a photo titled "spider practice". I want to learn how to do a spider wrap and I only have it partially correct. Please look at the photo and tell me where I went wrong in my layout.

I used the 0 and 180 axis and 1.5" spacing. First I wrapped an orange cross and then I offset by 3/4" the brown box+1 next to the orange on the same axis's

Jim I am not an expert but I do have the mans book.lol That 3/4 in. is probably too big .Should be depending on how many passes you make with the spider probably about 3 or 4 mm.Billys book has spacing charts that tell all that stuff.Hope this helps and I m sure the experts will respond.

Bruce, good answer. That's why I included the spacing charts in the book, to prevent thes types of problems - I had them too when I started out, I think most people did, but I took all th gusswork out of th equation with teh charts. All youneed to do is figur out how the heck to use thm, lol.

Open to the Spider pattern, see it says spacing chart A, go to page 80, look at spacing chart A, it says for X number of passes make the distance Y millimeters. Make that th distance and you're all set.
