GREAT BLOG POST

The Civil Participation post on Rodmaker Blog is, in my opinion, excellent and really tells it like it is. Too bad that
all internet forums are not monitored like this one and SOL. One of the other rodbuilding forums has been, for the past three days, much like a school of piranha at the blood bank.

Tom deserves a wrap for monitoring everything that goes on here and nipping any problems in the bud. Not an easy task monitoring all the posts, replies and comments. Well done.

Exactly. And although I have no idea what the connection to myself is supposed to be, they obviously didn't research my family's military service record before making fools of themselves.

What I don't want to happen, particularly right here on this thread, is for anything similar to get started. I prefer that this forum stay focused on custom rod building. That's why the vast majority of rod builders tune into a rod building forum - to learn about building rods. Let's keep it that way.

I don't normally respond to post such as this Drama has a way of finding it's self around the Internet and fuel is added to each post so I just assume keep quite. I have to admit I truly love visiting the many rod building sites to see the new ideas and art people come up with. I don't think I have verbally participated on any of the other sites because of the Mud slinging and drama. As for here on this forum I feel more at ease and have posted a few times in the past. The learning curve is much greater here do to your controlling of the side shows many boards seem to enjoy. To sum my rambling up in short Thanks!

Plus here a lot of times all you have to do is check out the Library Page - FAQs page The Search function -- and most of all - just read posts here and you can learn a lot. Most of the stuff here answers questions - even before you ask

Plus the builders here talk to you like a human
