Trying to find a blank for a friend. He has a Fenwick HMXS 70 M ( 1/8 - 3/4 oz. 4-12lb test) He loves the blank to death and wants a custom rod with a similar blank. The Fenwick is light weight and stiff for 4-12lb test rating. Can anyone reccommend a blank?
THANKS! Re: matching a fenwick blank?

Garret,
I read a posting on @#$%& yesterday from a guy claiming that he has access to old fenwick blanks. I am pretty sure he was asking around $65 per blank if your buddy wanted to try to get the same blank. Re: matching a fenwick blank?

That's kind of funny Garrett. I have the same EXACT rod and absolutely love it. It's caught many a Spanish Mackerel (Gulf of Mexico) for me, as well as Reds, Specks, and just about anything else I've fished for. Great blank/rod. Good luck on your search!

Garrett, from what I can see he can buy the rod brand new for like 75 bucks. Might be best to buy one and doll it up a bit with new guide wraps, etc. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: matching a fenwick blank?
