CP Test (White Hazing)

A problem long associated with color preserver products is white hazing of the acrylic solids one sometimes sees on very dark & black threads.
Especially when heavily applied and or to many coats used. We solved that issue with the solvent based Cason's Crystal Clear C. P. formula but had to readdress that problem with the original water based Cason's Crystal Clear C.P.

I was told by Bill Cason & other tester's that the NEW product fixed that issue and of course I didn't doubt it. However, it always pays to try things for yourself so I just completed a test wrap of solid black and applied 4 coats of our new & improved Cason's Crystal Clear Water Based Color Preserver. I took pix after the 2nd & 4th coats had dried and it's now posted on the photo section.

Click on the photo and blow it up BIG. Pictures speak for themselves!

Oh, the only problems I had with post the photo are that it does not show on the front photo page and the date shows Friday the 13th, 1901!

Ray,

Do you plan to post photo's after you have applied finish to the test wraps?

It's only 2pics one wrap Ken.
I could epoxy the wrap and post a photo but I there wouldn't be any difference with the black thread. The hazing I speak of doesn't pop up after the finish is applied it's there prior.
OK, Just to be 100% sure on that I will epoxy just 1/2 of the wrap & post a photo of that too.

That is why I thin any water based CP and put on 3 - 4 coats. No hazing.
