i have been search and read about casting distance with spinning or baitcasting or any of reel on rod and guides.. why do rod builder prefer to make improve on guide and a blank to give a nice casting distance or accurate, in my fishing i dont ever thinking about distance but accurate is one of i do when casting.. when i casting anythings light or heavy and it depend on what weight blank and line it give me good reason that i didnt get much of tangle or knot through the windy day or cast a light bait or anythings
what is reason they are trying to get somethings to give a distance or a accurte on a guide or blank or a reel spool as smooth bearing casting .. i fish with my abu garcia revo baitcasting and it casting just as good distance and accurate by cast just with my own and get in where i want to hit, than overpower casting farther distance.. i did watch my father who casting too hard and he's trying to catch my zone and he couldnt get it he use just 7 guide and i casting the same reel we fish but we fish with our different rod my father use quantum pt tour editon rod with 8 guide and tip and i use shimano cruical with 9 guide and tip same line we use 30 lb braid same weight lure we use and i throw more father than his is coz of guide or is coz of blank ?? that what i'm working on and want to curious what u thinking of Josh Re: cast distance

Switch rods and see if it is just the operator, many times that is the case. Re: cast distance

One has to use a rod and reel to be good at casting. No matter the rod or reel used. What a custom rod accomplishes is making the cast more proficient and easier. This also takes practice. But once you have mastered a custom rod you well see the difference Good Wraps Bob Re: cast distance

The answer to this question is in the same CD that I referenced in your last guide layout question. Please buy it, load it into your CD drive and spend some time reading.
