I wouldn't mix the two together, but you can put epoxy over cured PG. Re: PG and epoxy

TO: Spencer: I'm still wondering what would happen if you do put them together, wouldn't the PG help the epoxy harden, and the epoxy give the whole mix longer life, to apply? Write me asap. The guy who ask just might try that, and I wouldn't want anything to go wrong! Thank you! Re: PG and epoxy

I would call Permagloss and talk to them. You can add PG to and epoxy finish after the tack time or vise/versa.. I would not mix the 2 together one is a Urethane the other is a 2 part Good Wraps Bob Re: PG and epoxy

I would say
Don't do it PG cures by moisture Epoxy by chemical reaction. The epoxy could prevent moisture from getting to PG stopping it from curing, or the PG could change the chemical make-up of the epoxy enough the prevent it from curing Re: PG and epoxy

Good point Steve!! Not being a chemist I would think the 2 would separate and gel and never cure. It would be like mixing a oil paint and a Latex paint. Wont work and all you get is a sloppy mess Good Wraps Bob Re: PG and epoxy

I would not put it on a rod, just show him the cup. Or put it on a piece of scrap. Bill - willierods.com Re: PG and epoxy
