The 27x guide placement to place the choker guide, would it be ok to place all the guides equally, through out the whole rod? I plan on using size 2mm or 1.5 all down the rod, so, would you say that i didn't need to use the 27x guide choker thing or not? I'm just inquiring to see if anyone would have an idea on this difficult ?,lol! I'm ready to get the guides for my rod blank and want to choose the right and easiest placement! thank You!

If you are building a spinning rod (for which the 27x method was designed)
The answer is yes on guide spacing from choker guide to tip and
No! on the guide spacing from choker guide to reel.

Read that article Bill suggested

And I would suggest that if using 1.5 or 2mm running guides that you use a 3.5 mm for the choker guide.

Reading the articles in RodMaker Vol. 10 issue #4 and vol. 11- issue #1 written on this subject will prove to be quite valuable to you and may save you some extra work.

Thank you, Steve, I will keep that in mind when I build my spinning rod, I guess I'll just use all the same size for the casting crank bait rod I am now building, teh shaky head rod is next, spinning!

Just make sure any knots pass though the rings you want to use.
