Spent the last couple of days studying the new bank offerings by Batson Enterprises considering which to buy and for what techniques.
I am truly amazed that with the economy the way it is that any one company would increase their offerings by such a large volume. Wanted to share with you guys building bass rods what may be a couple of overlooked sleeper blanks listed in the Walleye section Here in North Carolina throwing shad-raps or shad-rap type baits in the spring is a big time bass technique. For many years I had requests for rods specially built for that purpose. These two blanks listed in the “Walleye section†should fill that bill perfectly! XSW72MM TC 7'2" 1 6-15lb 0.435 4.00 Mod-Fast 1.42 oz Spinning rod for casting small shad raps-lindy shadlings XSW72MHM TC 7'2" 1 8-17lb 0.46 5.00 Mod-Fast 1.43 oz Spinning rod for casting medium shad raps-lindy shadlings As far as the rest of the blanks I’m the kid candy in the candy store; Eyes wide open, mouth’s a drooling, knees a knocking not knowing which to grab first Re: BATSON’S Sleeper blanks

I agree with you, Steve. Last week I exchanged a couple of e-mails with Karry about some popping rod blanks I would like to see sold and he turned me on to two blanks that he now offers in the XP series that he made using some technology from his mag bass series of blanks that should fill the bill at least for me. I recently built one rod using an RX7 IP844 blank that I got from Lance Dupre. It turned out to be a very versital blank for throwing cork and lures. However, I want one a little bit heavier to use with live piggies and croakers. Karry offered a live bait blank in the XP series which will be my next build. I should be able to get a good hook set with those blanks. Re: BATSON’S Sleeper blanks

Don't overlook the fact that they are also offering a couple of glass crankbait rods in their line up, I really liked the feel and action of them. Re: BATSON’S Sleeper blanks
