My wife asked me what I wanted for fathers day and I told her the 10'4 4wt xg blank from hookhack. She ordered it and found out today it was on backorder and the said we might want to try another blank as they don't know when or if they will get it.
she said find another if it's alot more my birthday is also coming up. But my choices seem limited in the 10'4wt 4 peice range unless I am missing something. I can get the affinity x but it will take 2-3 months the sage z-axis or 99 the wintson biix dan craft has been sold out for along time Even though I would love the winston or sage I don't think I need to spend that kind of money even though I have the go ahead. plus I want to make the carbon fiber handle and use casting guides as I have been reading about and don't know If I could bring myself to do that to a wintson- I told my wife that would be like pimping out a rolls royce:) Is there another option should I wait the 3 months for the affinity or go with the wintson? thanks, Bob Re: 10' nymph rod dilemma
