I bought some Threadmaster about 3 years ago. I finally opened it for the first time last night. The resin is yellowish but you all say that is standard. I mixed and appiled to my base wrap of my first tiger try. I have no clue what to expect because this is my first time building a rod. It went on great no bubbles. It looks clear but it is against silver and blue. When I looked in the cup it apeared to be a yellow tint. It was clear(I have a motorized epoxy mixer) Does this mean it is bad. It was stored out of the light in the garage in a box.
Thanks Re: Threadmaster question

No, it's not bad. All epoxies tend to turn amber or slightly yellow over time. This will happen in the bottle and on the rod.

it'll work nicely ..
i'm still using finishes i've bought 3-5 years back.. as i only build rods for myself, i dont go through a lot of finish.. if your coating is thin enough, you probably couldnt tell that it looks yellowish on the rod, except maybe on white thread/background - Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.. Teach a man to fish, he'll be broke! Re: Threadmaster question
