EVA Help needed

Last night I was working on a split grip on a surf rod; this afternoon I notice on the butt grip what I can only descibe as a wrinkle (maybe a better word is divet) in the EVA; I have tried to manipulate the grip with my hands to make it look the way it's supposed to, but it remains the same.
Do any of you have a suggestion to correct this problem other than sanding it out? The grip is the exact size I need it to be, and I really hate to start grinding away at it; more than I don't want to sand it I really don't want to cut it off . Thanks for any suggestions. Walt, you might try steaming that section of EVA for a few minutes and then see if you can "massage" out the divet. If that doesn't work, you might need to take the grip down a bit more. Re: EVA Help needed

Thanks Gary,
I gave the steam a try as well as a little warm water bath to no avail. I finally manned up and sanded out the offending divet; turns out it was so slight the difference in size is unnoticed. Walt Davenport "Roadhouse Rods" Re: EVA Help needed

Walt, that's what I was going to suggest - just a little sanding. I had a similar problem and one where I pushed too hard and had a little bow in the grip. Took just a little sanding - not much at all - in that area to take it out. Glad it worked out for you. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
