Straightest axis on 2 piece blank

Firts time for me to build a 2 piece UL spinning rod. Should I locate the high point on both sections individually & align both to result in the total highest point? Or rotate the top section to minimize the run-out?

Roll them on a flat surface mark them both. Then build Bend up. what I do is after that then EYE it to be sure.
You can also find the spine and then mark the bend if the bend is that great. It is all looks !! Bill - willierods.com Re: Straightest axis on 2 piece blank

I think what you're asking is whether or not you should offset the two pieces so that the overall effect is straight, rather than having any overall curve. I wouldn't do that.
Find the deviation on each section individually and match them so you have the greatest curve or warp possible (the highest point as you mention), then put that so the butt and tip are high and the belly is low. .................. Re: Straightest axis on 2 piece blank
