can this rod be built?

curious if someone out there would be able to custom build a unique rod for me - I have the bottom half (55 inches)of a Fly Logic FLP+905/2  - a 9' 2piece 3.1/4 ounce line 5/6  fxII graphite piece - lost the top half in the lake - Fly Logic doesn't sell just the top - I would be interested in having this made into a three piece travel rod  - 9' or even 9'6" - if someone has the matching Fly Logic pieces ( dark gray matte)  - I could ship the piece I have - I would make the rod sock and tube - would make a good backup travel rod - let me know if that is possible and if so, approx price. I am in California.
thanks for your advice and consideration. stu @#$%&

Stewart:

I live about 10 miles from Fly Logic. I know the rod builder there. They do not make their own blanks. I can call on Monday and see who made this blank. Once you know who made the blank, you might be able to get a replacement for the broken section.

Mike - thanks for your reply - any help you can give me would be deeply appreciated - I have given up on the thought of converting it to a three piece for reasons I now understand about the ferrules, etc, - so if you can put me in touch with someone who could replace just the top half tip of what I have that would be great - feel free to email me directly if and when you have new info - lakewooddancers@goldrush.com thanks stu
