Bill,
Thanks for posting the fishhawk link. Do you know if color preserver was used on the sample wraps? If so, is there a set of sample wraps that have no color preserver applied before epoxy coating?

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

The wraps do have Chromaseal and Threadmaster High Build. I did some wraps without color preserver and the colors I did did not turn transparent but did darken some. I will have to see what colors they are. I didnt have time to do them before ICRBE.

I would also be interested in seeing wraps w/o CP.
These are the nicest and most interesting varigated threads I have seen.

I'll try to get some done this weekend. These really are the sweetest veri threads I've ever seen, very wrapper friendly. Thanks for the interest.

Mike,
Besides my current new builds I am re-building a 1950's rod that my father had custom built on a Conolon fiberglass blank of an orangeish color by a guy named Marino on cross bay Blvd in Queens N.Y. I gave it to my son years ago and now he would like me to rebuild it. I have been siting with it for two years looking for thread. I want to put a 50's wrap on it but cannot find appropriate thread. The orange you show is almost identical to the type I am looking for. On that I will use CP.
Thanks,
Herb
