Signal Orange

I have a request for a rod with an Army Signal Officer's theme.
Need help with the signal orange color thread. Hoping I can get some suggestions before going out with a color
card looking for a flag to compair to. I assume the color would be the same country/service wide?

Thanks,

Raymond Adams

Raymond,
I believe that the flags of the Branch insignia are white background/red center and red background/white center. Orange only shows up on the border of the regimental coat of arms: [images.google.com]

Thanks George,

That exact insignia is what I'll be weaving along with a cross-wrap matching the flags. I have the same image file (sent by the client) & asked
the client about the color as it is mentioned as red and orange depending on where one is reading. He said "signal orange"
not red.

Searching the net I've found a couple different colors of "signal orange". Looks like Gudebrod reg. nylon 221 is close. NCP is way
to light I think.

Hi Raymond,

I did something similar with some Navy colors and was able to locate a Navy web page that provided full color specs for each color used in their uniforms and insignias.
I have not yet been able to locate the same type of site for the Army, but I'll keep looking, and perhaps someone else has found the same thing...
