When doing a grip inlay such as a character or symbol in the grip the instructions say to use pc-11 as a base in the cut out section of the grip. Could you use pc-7?
Is pc-11 easier to work with or are they both basically the same? Re: Grip inlay question

I don't know what instructions you're going by. The article done by Bernie Cohen in the magazine didn't espouse the use of anything like that. Bernie just used contact cement to glue his inlay pieces down.
If you're following someone else's instructions, I'd advise sticking with the instructions and using the product it outlines. PC7 is a hard, heavy paste epoxy. ........... Re: Grip inlay question

Yes I do use PC11 some times and that is when I have dug out a little more then I intended to and that leaves a very soft base with very little foam. I use PC11 in that case and a very lite coat and give it to 24 hours to dry hard. This will give it a nice hard base so that the the inlay wont be to spongy. PC11 should not be used to harden the base. Remember it should only be used when you feel the base is very soft.
I hope this answers your question and is of some help Re: Grip inlay question

Tom please forgive me for not mentioning it in the Inlay article. It was a complete oversight. Re: Grip inlay question

No problem at all. I've never used it and always had good results so I doubt it harmed the article in any way.
