I'm building 6'6" spinning rods, med/fast using the NGC method.
For my reduction guides it looks like I can either use the concept high frames sizes 25,16,10 (8,6,6,6) or normal height in sizes 30,20,12 (8,6,6,6) My spool diameter is 1.77" about 69.5 mm. Does it matter which I go with? I'm thinking use the high frame "concept guides". Is the size 25 big enough for that spool size? . Re: NGC guide choice

Either will get you the height you require. The higher frame models will do it with less weight and keep the line coils smaller.
One thing I would advise in the set up you show above - drop the #8 guide and replace it with a 6. That will give you a straighter line path. Of course, to really know what sizes you'll need you'll have to plot the line path and then size the guides to fit. Unless you're using very heavy or stiff line, a size 25 will be more than sufficient for the butt guide ring. ................. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
