I just completed a rod recently using Flex Coat High Build finish over my guide wraps. Because I am new I was very aware of sagging etc in my coats. As a result I used a thin coating on my guide wraps. I see in some pictures many have thicker coats on their wraps, is it neccessary to go back and add another layer of finish on this wrap, or is this thicker depth in the finish just personal preference. I may just add a second coating, wasnt sure if it should be as thin as I applied. Any suggestions on a better application method than a thin brush? Re: How Finish for Guide Wraps

The less epoxy you use, the less weight that is added to the rod. As long as the threads are covered, there would be no reason to add another. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
