NGC and static test

When setting up the guides on a spinning rod, using the New Guide Concept, as detailed in this article: [www.rodbuilding.org], there is no mention of performing a static stress test. This leads me to believe that one can assume that putting running guides at every 4 to 5 inches equidistant from the choker to the top will adequately distribute stress, for ANY blank, being used as a spinning rod. Is this correct? Re: NGC and static test

Pretty close. It won't hurt to run such a test anyway, but I think you're going to find that if you follow the instructions closely, when you do such a test you'll find things to be pretty darn good as is.
