Hi,
I would just like to know if a 100 yd spool of Gudebrod metallic thread will be enough to cover 7 SF guides. Also will it be strong enough to wrap alone, or do I need to wrap with normal thread first then the metallic. Weight is not an issue, as it will be used 90% of the time for bait fishing. The rod is a 6' fiberglass spin rod, and will only be used in the estuary targeting small to medium size fish. Thanks, Richard Re: Metallic Thread Coverage and strength

100 yd will be more than enough, in fact wil probably do 7 or more rods! Strength will not be an issue either. The core thread of the metallics is as strong, or stronger than the standard nylon threads. Re: Metallic Thread Coverage and strength
