Help With Thread Colour

I just picked up a real deal on a Cabela's Traditional II blank, and I'm going to make this build a winter project. The rod is an odd green colour, almost an OD (olive drab) and was wondering if anyone had used this blank before. If so, what colour thread did you use. Black with gold trim would work, but looking for any other input. Thanks in advance. Paul

Green with gold trim looks good, black with red trim , brown and gold, black w/ green metalic. And a bunch more im sure. You would be suprised how good black with candy apple red bands looks. Very nice!! good luck!!

Gold under with dark nylon green over, leave a little of the gold exposed for a tag. Overall look is a dark candy green, with gold trim.

Green, with gold trim bands are one of our favorites. Black, and gold, black and red, and I also like to use Silver, or dark grey with red trim. Looks great.

OD with Black and Tan (sand) would be standard Army camoflage colors.
