Hallo
should you tell me which type of paint (brand name) are you using for blank painting? Price is not important, I need the best paint on the market. I do not want to do it with cheap spray! I have a new room only for blank painting because my customer want diferent colors. Thank you for the answer. Michal Re: blank painting

Spies Hecker Automotive paint. If price is not important and you have an area set up for it.
Just my opinion. I am sure others will say different. I like it because it has incredible UV protection, sprays out nice and is flexible enough to use on rod blanks. If you have a spray gun with about a 1.3 tip you should be good to go. Re: blank painting

Yes, I spray the color with a 1.0 and clear with a 1.3. Waste is a consideration so if you have an airbrush or something along the lines of a SATA minijet it will cut down on that considerably. Re: blank painting

Another tip (maybe it's obvious), spray as many as you can at once. It is cost prohibitive to spray just one at a time. Re: blank painting

yes, will do, maybe it is a secret, but are you mix the clear coat as usual for spies hecker or do you have your own formula for mix?
I contact manager of spies hecker, I hope he will call me back this week. Re: blank painting

No secrets here. I mix it per the instructions on the can....it is going to vary with temperature, humidity, etc. The main thing is to check your pattern first. If you are getting a pattern that is even top to bottom and looks to be atomized well then you should be good to go. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
