I've been looking for a 15 foot float rod blank and I can't seem to find one. anyone here know of any? I've found G.Loomis 15' blanks in the past but they are no longer available. Any Info or suggestions?
Thanks Mike Re: 15 footer

Bill,
I always thought that a blank is made for a specific purpose? Can a spey blank be used as a float rod? Re: 15 footer

As long as the specifications meat what you are looking for. A lot of builders if they can not find a spinning blank or a casting blank look at fly blanks. Action and the ability to cast the lure weight you want to use is the main thing. And ability to pull in the fish you are after.
If you can call Meiser and ask . And of course do a Google search. Also try a search of this site with All Dates . In the red bar. Bill - willierods.com Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/27/2009 07:13PM by bill boettcher. Re: 15 footer

Where are you fishing and for what? For big water such as the Niagra river or the rapids in Sault ste marie I would use a CTS blank or a Raven. St croix I think is coming out with a 15' You could also do as Bill stated and convert a 7/8 weight into a float rod. Rolly Beenen Rovic Custom Rods Re: 15 footer

Yes - you can use a spey as a float/centerpin rod. Just get an appropriate weight classification.
