Micro Rod Marketing

The marketing of micro rods is becoming quite visible on the Internet. Production rod builders are presently positioning for share of the market in the bass rod segment of the market. The micro rods are on the way. The rods in the photo linked below are available for order in retail outlets on the West Coast and SE US.

The custom builders associated with this Forum played a big part. Please take the opportunity to read a post on the second page of the following thread, made by Al Jackson, which was made about nine months ago.

[rodbuilding.org]

Al drove up in my driveway yesterday with a load of new micro rods and allowed me to take the first picture - he gave me permission to post the picture and said: "Since the guys on this Forum were instrumental in the development of these rods I want them to be the first to get the opportunity to see them."

The light was not good and the color is not accurate in the photo. Guides are Fuji Alconite 4.0.

Interesting information on Al's background. He was the original rod and blank designer for the Lew's Speed Stick- I guess this is one old dog that can learn new tricks!

Zero rods on shelves with micro guides as of 12/22/09. I wonder how many will be available this time next year? Big thanks to the Godfather, Steve Gardner, Bill and all the others out there the contributed to the development of micro rods by sharing.

I was under the impression that E21 was a Canadian company?

Second that to Steve and Bill.
