I've "heard" that Shikari actually builds some mod-slow and slow action blanks. Being OFS(old, fat,&slow) I'd really like to get a look at some of those slower action blanks. I have a VVO Lami that I bought so long ago that I can't remember the number but its 9ft,1 piece, almost orange in color and with a "tender action" all the way to the butt, not soft, tender. It is one of my very favorite rods and has been rebuilt a number of times. Don't know how to describe it exactly but it just "feels" right. Would really like to find some slow/mod slow blanks. That's the site address. If anyone is interested I'll be glad to email you the Shikari blanks we lsit. Many will be in our new catalogue, but any listed on the Shikari site are available through us at a better price than listed there. Warren, email me or post some more specifics on the type of blanks you are looking for. Spinning? Fly? I belive the Lami blanks of that color and action would be E-Glass. Might check into some S-Glass or composites as well from others. There are some softer action graphite blanks available from a variety of manufacturers. Shikari does have some fine offerings. Also if you're looking for a 7' med action might check out the new St. Croix SCIII with the moderate action tip. This may be the sort of blank you might be looking for??
