Aluminum window spin seat

I'd swear I've seen them somewhere recently but I'll be darned if I can find them now.

Is anyone making a spin seat out of aluminum with a window in it?

My customer really likes the AW12 Window seat with woven tubing from American Tackle. But its in a fly configuration with the end for inletting into a fly grip. This may have to do, but would much rather have a spin configuration.

Thanks in advance.

Pac Bay makes an aluminum size 18mm spinning window seat with rosewood under it I think.

Matt,

Check Netcraft under metal reel seats. You may need to see if you can find a graphite insert to fit.

Look at the Alps reel seats. They have a nice seat that has a texalium insert.

I just used one of these to make a light spinner. Filed off and polished the ridge in the back to make it a bit more comfortable in hand.

After I filed it, I used some 600 grit wet sand paper, then a dremel tool with a wire brush, then buffing pad.
