Thread color help needed, matching factory GLX

I am rebuilding one of my factory GLX rods and need to match the color of the guide wraps as I am only rebuilding the lower section. It is a 1562 GLX from a few years back. It apears to be a charcoal color but not sure. Any help would be great thanks!

Gudebrod Nylon Charcoal should "get er done". To be sure, wrap a small area (no guide necessary) and wet it with tap water.

Eric

I used to outwrap for Loomis and the thread color was Gudebrod 9441 in size B.

Thomas,
just curious if you meant Gudebrod #0441?

Eric,
Make sure that you do NOT use any CP. And, do not use any NCP thread or the thread won't match. The finish needs to penetrate and darken the thread to get the perfect match.
Take care
Roger

Ray

Gudebrod changed 0411 to 9441. They are the same color.

Does anyone know where I can get this thread? I have the 441 but the GLX looks metalic so like Thomas said it is the 9441. I have looked to most of my normal venders and cannot find it. Thanks again for the help.

Eric

I just changed my post. To show that 0441 and 9441 are the same color. 9441 is not metallic.
