Wood Turning Demo

At last year's Expo we were fortunate to have Morris Schlesinger, a well known and highly respected wood turner and turning teacher, on the seminar program. I received many comments on just how good his presentation was and am happy to report that we have been able to land him for the 2010 Expo program as well. He will be presenting on wood turning both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will feature a special 2-hour presentation.

If you have any interest in learning wood turning, this is something you'll want to see.

I managed to sneak out of the booth and sit in for one of the seminars last year. SUPER personality and great teaching technique ... this is definitely not one to miss.

Morris was also impressed with the custom rod builders. He told me that he gives many such presentations and there's usually a "smart guy" in the room who wants to tell him how to do things. He said all the builders, and we're talking over a hundred in both his demos, were attentive and polite. He was really impressed with his audience.

That was my favorite seminar . Being new to turning he taught me a lot about getting a piece of wood mounted on a lathe and ready to turn. Plenty of priceless info presented in a clear and concise manner.
