Write blockedbyearthlink@abuse.earthlink.net Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Tom Kirkman

That message is a reply from Tom's email provider. It looks like they are blocking all email from the computer you were using, Mike. It is usually because either your computer (or possibly another user from your ISP) has sent too many emails to earthlink.net addresses in the previous day. This is almost always from either virus or spyware infections, but can be because of a really high level of valid emails also.
Once again, not necessarily your computer but it could be. You can either try later or contact the "blockedbyearthlink" email address - they'll be able to tell you the cause. Re: Tom Kirkman

Thanks Joe,
I figured out the problem but have been unable to correct it! It's not my computer, but earthlink has denied access from a wide range of IP address from my providor. I mail to very few earthlink subscribers so that's not the problem Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Tom Kirkman

Someone has used your IP and email address to mail spam. IP and email spoofing are not hard to do with the right software.

According to them, it's not my IP address that is the problem butI happen to be within the range of addresses that have been blocked. They are trying to resolve it but I'm not holding my breath!
