Hi everyone,
I'm very please to see so many people here, a big hello to you. This is my 1st post after not registering proper.. thanks for all kind directions to sucessfully register, thanks. I've been doing simple thread work, on the other hand there seems to be space between the threads . What are the steps i'm missing for compacting threads. Please advise, hopefully when it's completed i may share with everyone here. A vivid Tartan fan Goh melvin Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/22/2009 02:26AM by Goh melvin. Re: thread space

HEre is the picture you posted: [www.rodbuilding.org]
PArt of teh problem many peopl ehave is they pack threads way too soon abd often. Lay down more thread then pack it. Ifyouleave the wrap open, the last passod thread will often slide and leave a gap - the reason for that is there are no threads wrapped over it and locking it in place. IF you are going to use CP there is aneasy fix for that, just make 2 or 3 more passes of thread than you want, apply CP. When the CP dries pull those last 2-3 passes off, adn apply 1 more coat of CP. Thoese extra threads will be all youneed to pack teh actual thread in the pattern tight. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/22/2009 07:23AM by Billy Vivona. Re: thread space
