Walleye rod MHX??

I am new to this and would like to order a kit from Mudhole for walleye river fishing. They have kits for the new MHX line of rods, I was thinking either the SJ782-MHX or the SJ783-MHX. These seem like a nice choice to get started with. Any opinions.

I highly recommend the MHX line of rods!! I have built several of these including the SJ782 and 783. Both are very light and responsive , maybe the 782 would be better for walleye, the 783 turned out to be really fast. For that price range they are far superior to anything I have seen in quite some time. These blanks are still suprising me and have ceratainly become my new favorite blanks!

ps I have no affiliation with Mud Hole!

Chris, I think the 782 or 842 in the Spin/Jig lineup would work very well for you. And to be honest with you you will find that this series is not a "get started with" line. You will find the best performance available within this series. Far better than blanks priced 2 & 3 times as much.
