I have a 13' lamiglas I bought on @#$%&. I don't see a problem with building a conventional with the top 1/2. seems like it's going to be nice rod. will this work?

I am not certain what your question is. Do you want to know if you can use the top half of the blank and use it to build a rod? Conventional what? Spining? baistcaster?

If that is what your asking yes you should be able to use the top half of the blank to build a rod knowing that it will be probably an ultra light as there will not be a whole lot of back bone to the top half.

Sorry I was thinking 13' Float rod. But yes you should be able to make a rod with the top half of the blank.

A 13' rod light action used to fish for steelhead and or salmon using a float ( thin bobber) and light line. The parabolic bend of the blank act as a shock absorber allowing the use of light lines and leaders. the above comes from the lamiglas site.
