Baston Chameleon Guides?

Have a buddy who loves his Quantum Energy spinning reels and was surfing the internet and discovered some components that he feels would be a perfect match to his Energy reels that have the holographic color to them. He located a set of guides from Baston, which are the Chameleon guides. Any feedback on these guides? Wasnt sure if they were a high level guide or just gimmick. Have a feeling they are what he is looking for.

I put a set on one of my SW rods about a year ago, I think they are Bastons....don't remember at this point . 15-30 lb class. They are holding up well, no corrosion whatsoever, although I do wash my gear immediately after each trip. Rings are holding up well.

I put those same guides on for a friend who also put on a Quantum Energy. Holo reel seat too. Turned out perfect. He loved it.

Where did u get the reel seat? I saw American Tackle makes a holographic style reel seat for spinning gear. Any ideas. Sounds like the direction I am headed for my buddy with this setup

Mudhole sells the holographic reel seat as well as holographic guides. I have used single foot spinning guides as well as saltwater "turbo" trolling guides in Holographic finish. So far, no problems (after 2 years of use).
