I am trying to find the proverbial "needle in a haystack". For a couple of years, Fenwick/Berkley used a "Titanium SS304" guide on some of their rods ... such as Techna AV, Lighting Rods, etc. Currently, I am in need of a #7 double foot guide from that series for a repair order.
Does anyone know where to find one? Jann's only carries the regular SS304, not the titanium version. Thanks! Jim - Re: Titanium SS304 Guide

I don't get it. I would imagine SS304 is 304 grade stainless. Does it have a Tix PVD coating? If so link up a pic. that would be cool looking. If plain old TiN recoils would be close I'd imagine. Don't know though, there are all sorts of marketing jargon in this industry that misleads everyone including myself. Re: Titanium SS304 Guide

Jim -
Jann's Netcraft used to carry them (probably still do) SS-304 chromium Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 10/07/2009 04:52PM by Ken Preston. Re: Titanium SS304 Guide

They are titanium plated stainless steel ... SS304T.
Jann's carries the regular SS304 in various color combinations and I have a ton of those from stripped rods. These guides are exactly the same EXCEPT they are uniform in color, titanium plated everything. In that respect, they are similar to boat guides or RECoil guides. Unfortunately, this fellow doesn't want "close" or "kind of" ... he wants exactly. You would think in a collection of tens of thousands of guides, that I would have just one ... but it isn't so. Thanks everyone, I managed to figure it out. The "new" Minima TiCH/TiCH guides will be a proper match. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
