Hello, I need help picking out a blank for a casting rod I'm building for a friend. He is a fishing guide at the Lake Of the Woods. He has very specific needs and wants a 5'8" rod with extra fast action and medium heavy power. He fishes 3/8 oz jigs vertical most of the time and often lifts 16-20" walleyes into the boat with one hand so he doesn't interupt his guests when fishing. I have noticed that sometimes blanks with the same specs and company I have used in the past are often different from each other. Can anyone recommend a blank or two for me.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE!!!!! Re: Help picking out rod blank.

Good luck with finding a 5'8" medium heavy extra fast. St. Croix makes a 5'9" medium extra fast and a 6' medium heavy fast. Re: Help picking out rod blank.
