I'm thinking of trying a batson blank. I'm looking at the sw967f. I was going to use if for muskies and be throwing baits from1-3 ounces. Do you guys think this one will be too light? How does their power and action ratings compare to st. croix's ratings? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/21/2009 11:05PM by Jason Wenzel. Re: batson blank

Jason, the SW967 is a very good rod with the 1-3oz stuff and can go a bit heavier if needed but that's assuming you'd want the 8' rod.
If not you can scale down to the ISWB904 which is HIGHLY under rated IMO, I've got all 4 of the ISWB blanks and they are all exceptionally well made and straight. Re: batson blank

would this be similar to medium heavy st. croix musky rod, or lighter yet? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/22/2009 07:22PM by Jason Wenzel. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
