Looking for a blank

Hi guys, I am looking for a blank that will meet a customers needs. He is looking for an 8' MH or H able to throw 1-4 ounces or close to it as light as possible (preferabally a butt less than .750) 1 piece, sensitive enough for Tog all for around $70

I have looked at the rainshadow SW967 and that meets most needs. It is only a medium 15-25 lb that throws 3/4 to 4 ounces. I am just not sure how that blank would hold up to a 30 inch rockfish, or 25 inch sheepshead. If it would hold up this would be the perfect blank. Anyone use one before?

The other one I am looking at is a Mudhole crb Lamiglas
GIS80H Hvy Bait, SB 8' 1 20-40 lb. 1 - 6 oz. Mod/Fast .8 8 5 3/8 oz

This is for casting lures for hours so weight is a big issue, Do you think the lamiglas blank would do the trick even with a butt end of .8 and a weight of 5 3/8 oz? I was hoping for something less than 4 ounces.

I also found a castaway blank
7'6" Length
Line # 15 - 30
Lure Oz. - 1/2 - 2 1/2
PWR - XH
Action - Mod
Butt Dia. - 0.618
Tip - 6.5
Wt. Oz. - 3.1

I dont know anything about castaway blanks though. Anyone have any suggestions???

You (customer) will have NO problem with the Rainshadow. I've built several of them that get used in the inlets in Ocean City Maryland and Lewes Delaware for tog, stripers, blues, sheepshead. The customer only needs to remember to set the drag correctly - the rod itself will hold up.

Thanks Tom - I'm glad it was helpful. Your customer is going to love that rod in the inlets. I have one myself that I use in Kent Narrows in the fall - specifically for 25-33 inch striped bass in fast water (bottom bouncing bucktails) - works great. It has enough "tip" to feel the pickup and more than enough backbone to turn the fish around.
