It depends on the size and location.
My favorite for bridges and 100-150# fish ... Lamiglas TXC92-1ML or TEX92-1ML. My favorite for juveniles and for sight casting on beaches ... Lamiglas TF90-15. My favorite for passes and tournament sized fish ... Lamiglas TXC96-1M or TEX96-1M Are you seeing a pattern here? So far, in my experience, nothing comes close to Lamiglas Tri-Flex designs in strength to weight ratio AND durability over the long haul. They are incredible blanks. Give Todd at Mud Hole a call ... he designed them while at Lamiglas. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/02/2009 08:11PM by Jim Gamble. Re: spinning rod blank for tarpon

The Lamiglas TP8680SP is new on the market. It was designed for Ulua and is rated at 60 to 100#. The blank is NZ102 2XXH.
Here's some info on the rod. [www.donstacklehawaii.com] edit: The TP8650SP shown on the link is not the standard build for the TP8650SP. Don Don Becker Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/03/2009 12:30AM by Don Becker. Re: spinning rod blank for tarpon
